The Home

Life at
Bayview Care Home

Choosing a care home is an important decision, and we want residents and families to feel listened to, reassured and supported from their first conversation with us.

Bayview Care Home is situated in the coastal village of Cruden Bay in Aberdeenshire, around 23 miles from Aberdeen and within easy reach of Peterhead. The home provides personalised nursing care, dementia care and short-stay respite care within a warm and welcoming environment.

Our experienced colleagues take time to understand each resident's health needs, routines, preferences, interests and life story. This allows us to provide care that feels personal while supporting dignity, comfort, independence and meaningful daily living.

With en-suite accommodation, dual-aspect and sea-view rooms, four lounge and dining areas, a conservatory and landscaped gardens, residents have a choice of comfortable spaces in which to relax, spend time with visitors and enjoy life at the home.

Person-centred care in Cruden Bay

Every resident at Bayview is supported as an individual. Our colleagues take time to understand what matters to each person, from their care and health requirements to their preferred routines, interests and everyday choices.

Bayview provides 24-hour nursing care, dementia care and respite care. Individual care plans are developed around each resident and reviewed as their needs change, helping families feel informed and reassured.

Traditional character and modern care

Bayview combines the welcoming character of a traditional coastal home with professional, personalised care.

Residents can enjoy a relaxed and homely environment while receiving the support they need from experienced care and nursing colleagues. Our aim is to help every resident feel safe, comfortable, respected and genuinely at home.

Comfortable rooms and welcoming shared spaces

Bayview offers a selection of en-suite rooms, including dual-aspect and sea-view rooms. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room with familiar belongings, photographs and treasured possessions.

There are four lounge and dining areas throughout the home, giving residents a choice of places to relax, socialise, enjoy meals, take part in activities or spend time with family and friends.

The conservatory provides another welcoming space where residents can enjoy natural light and views of the garden throughout the year.

Food, choice and everyday wellbeing

Enjoyable and nutritious food is an important part of life at Bayview. Our catering colleagues prepare meals that take account of residents' dietary requirements, preferences and individual needs.

Snacks and refreshments are also available throughout the day, helping residents maintain familiar routines and enjoy the everyday comforts that make a place feel like home.

Activities shaped around residents

Activities at Bayview are planned around the interests, abilities and preferences of the people who live here.

Residents can choose whether they want to take part in organised activities, enjoy their own hobbies, spend time with visitors or simply relax. Participation should always be based on individual choice rather than a fixed programme.

Gardens, fresh air and coastal surroundings

Bayview has landscaped gardens and a summer house where residents can enjoy fresh air, seasonal plants and peaceful time outdoors.

The conservatory also provides an inviting place to appreciate the garden throughout the year, whether residents are relaxing, watching local wildlife or spending time with friends and family. You can also explore our care homes across Scotland.
