Careers at Meallmore
Creating great places
to work.
Thirty care homes across Scotland, and around two and a half thousand colleagues. Most of them had never worked in care before they joined us.
Why Meallmore
A job you can build a life around.
We are not going to pretend care work is easy. It asks a lot of people. What we can promise is that you will be trained properly, supported by someone whose job it is to look out for you, and given a route forward that is mapped rather than vague.
Start with no experience
Most of our carers had never worked in care before. We provide full training and fund* the qualification you need. *Terms and conditions apply.
A route to success
The path from your first shift to Home Manager is mapped, funded* and used. Most of our managers came up through it.
Award-winning teams
Our colleagues and our homes are recognised nationally, and we run our own colleague awards every year.
Thirty homes across Scotland
From the Highlands to the Ayrshire. You can move home, region or role without leaving the people who know you.
Our roles
Where you might fit in.
Five role families across every home. Each one has its own training, its own standards and its own way forward.

Trained, mentored, and kept growing.
Development at Meallmore is not a poster in the staff room. It starts before your first unsupervised shift and carries on for as long as you are here.
A mentor from day one
Every new colleague is paired with an experienced member of the team. Someone whose job it is to answer the questions you have.
Training that keeps coming
Regular training sessions run across the business through the year, not just at induction. Learning here is ongoing by design.
Bespoke training software
Your own learning record, built for us. It keeps you compliant, shows what is due and tracks the qualifications you are working toward.
Funded qualifications*
We fund* the SVQ qualifications your role and your registration require, right up to leadership level. *Terms and conditions apply, please ask for more details.

If you make it to the next stage we'll invite you to meet us, see the home and meet the team you would be joining.
