Amanda joins Pitfodels Wood Care Home in Aberdeen as an experienced, highly motivated Home Manager with a strong track record in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Passionate about creating a warm, inclusive and community-focused environment, she is committed to establishing Pitfodels Wood as one of Aberdeen’s leading care homes for older people.
Amanda describes the opportunity as “a really exciting, positive challenge,” adding:
“Being able to provide high-quality care in such a beautiful setting is a dream for me – I couldn’t ask for better.”
Before the official opening of Pitfodels Wood, Amanda has already been working closely with Meallmore Ltd, gaining a deep understanding of the company’s values, culture and high standards. She has already developed a meaningful partnership with Aberdeen International School, located next door to Pitfodels Wood. The schoolchildren have helped name the home’s households, and both the pupils and staff are excited about the intergenerational links planned for the year ahead.
With experience across residential, nursing and specialist care pathways, Amanda is dedicated to making Pitfodels Wood a supportive, enriching and homely environment for residents and families across the Pitfodels and wider North Deeside Road area.
Pitfodels Wood Care Home will be operated by Meallmore Ltd, one of Scotland’s leading care providers, currently supporting 27 homes across the country, including services for older people, adults with mental health needs, and individuals with learning or physical disabilities.
Amanda’s leadership, vision and community-first approach will ensure Pitfodels Wood becomes a trusted, welcoming and vibrant part of Aberdeen life.
