Alderwood House Care Home is a purpose-built specialist adult care home in Dumbarton, supporting adults who are living with or recovering from mental health conditions, disabilities or brain injuries.

Alderwood House provides specialist adult care for people with complex support needs, including mental health conditions, disabilities and brain injuries.

Our experienced colleagues provide 24-hour care and support, helping residents feel safe, understood and encouraged. Every support plan is personal to the individual, with a focus on dignity, confidence, independence and meaningful daily living. Supporting recovery and independence

At Alderwood House, we understand that independence looks different for every person. For some residents, it may mean rebuilding confidence with daily routines. The home includes four self-contained flats, giving residents the opportunity to experience more independent living while still having support nearby when needed.

Alderwood House has been designed to feel safe, welcoming and comfortable. Bedrooms are generously proportioned and include en-suite facilities, with deluxe rooms also available.

Residents can also enjoy cosy lounge and dining areas, shared kitchens, an activities room, cinema room and a hair and beauty salon. These spaces help create a sense of routine, connection and choice throughout the day.

Daily life at Alderwood House is shaped around each resident's interests, abilities and personal goals.

Our activities programme supports residents to stay engaged, try new things and enjoy meaningful time with others. Whether someone wants to take part in a group activity, enjoy a film, cook, spend time in the garden or focus on personal routines, our colleagues are there to offer encouragement and support.
