The Home

Life at
Hilton Court Care Home

Finding the right specialist care placement is an important decision, and at Hilton Court we want prospective residents, families and professionals to feel informed, listened to and supported from the first conversation.

Hilton Court Care Home is located in Rosyth, Fife, and provides specialist adult care and mental health support for adults aged 18 and over. The 32-bed home offers a structured and supportive environment for people who require individualised care while working towards greater confidence, stability and independence.

Our colleagues take time to understand each resident as an individual. This includes their mental and physical health needs, personal history, routines, communication preferences, abilities, interests and longer-term goals. Individual support plans are shaped around the person and reviewed as their needs and circumstances change.

The home has been divided into smaller domestic-style units to create a more familiar and homely living experience. Nine lounges with kitchen facilities allow residents to take part in shared living, develop everyday skills and work towards greater independence at a pace that feels appropriate for them. Hilton Court also has three self-contained flats, generously proportioned en-suite bedrooms, activity spaces and secure courtyards, providing a balance of privacy, structured support, social connection and opportunity.

Specialist mental health care shaped around the individual

Care at Hilton Court begins with understanding the individual rather than expecting the person to fit into a standard routine. Our colleagues work with residents to understand their needs, strengths, communication preferences, personal goals and the support that helps them feel safe and settled. The home supports adults living with a range of mental health conditions, and every prospective placement is considered individually to determine whether Hilton Court can provide the right environment, skills and level of support.

Recovery programmes and personal goals

Hilton Court has developed recovery-focused programmes intended to help residents build confidence, maintain stability and work towards their own goals. Recovery looks different for every person. For one resident, progress may involve developing everyday living skills or taking greater responsibility for their routine. For another, it may involve building confidence, improving social connection or maintaining emotional wellbeing. Support plans reflect each resident's abilities, wishes and longer-term aspirations, and progress is reviewed at a pace that suits the individual.

Smaller domestic-style living environments

Although Hilton Court has 32 beds, the home is divided into smaller domestic-style sections to create a warmer and more familiar living environment. Nine lounges with kitchen facilities give residents opportunities to take part in shared living and develop practical everyday skills where appropriate. Three self-contained flats provide an additional living environment within the service and may support greater independence for residents whose individual assessment and support plan indicate that this is suitable.

Comfortable bedrooms and personal space

Hilton Court offers generously proportioned bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room and walk-in shower. Bedrooms include television and Wi-Fi, giving residents a comfortable personal space where they can relax privately. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room with suitable photographs, decorations and familiar belongings, subject to available space and the home's usual safety requirements. Laundry and domestic services support the everyday upkeep of bedrooms and shared areas.

Activities supporting physical and mental wellbeing

Activities at Hilton Court are intended to support enjoyment, structure, confidence and both physical and mental wellbeing. The activities programme is designed to offer opportunities for movement, mindfulness and relaxation. Residents can enjoy a range of recreational activities included within the home's programme. Participation always reflects the resident's interests, abilities and preferences, and the wider approach to life at Meallmore is echoed here in Rosyth.

Secure courtyards and outdoor space

Hilton Court has enclosed courtyards where residents can enjoy fresh air and quieter time outdoors within a secure environment. The courtyards provide space for relaxation, conversation and seasonal activities, with BBQs one of the ways residents can make use of these outdoor areas. Outdoor access is planned around each resident's preferences, wellbeing and individual support requirements.

Connection, dignity and everyday independence

Life at Hilton Court provides a balance between dependable support and opportunities for greater independence. Residents are encouraged to take part in everyday decisions, develop skills and work towards personal goals in ways that are safe and meaningful for them. Our aim is to create a community where residents feel respected, secure and supported rather than defined by a diagnosis or previous experience.

Meet the manager

Suzanne,
Home Manager at Hilton Court Care Home.

Suzanne Pitt · Care Home Manager

I am passionate about my role and care deeply about the residents, families and colleagues who make Hilton Court the community it is. I qualified in nursing more than 18 years ago and have experience caring for sick children, working within the mental health sector and supporting older people, and I bring that knowledge and experience to my role as Home Manager at Hilton Court. My focus is on making sure every resident is treated with dignity and receives support that reflects their individual needs, strengths, wishes and goals. We want people living here to feel safe and secure while also having opportunities to build confidence and greater independence. Our smaller domestic-style units help create a warmer and more familiar living experience. The lounges and kitchen facilities allow residents to take part in shared living and develop everyday skills where appropriate, while the courtyard provides a quiet enclosed place to relax. Physical and mental wellbeing are both important parts of life at Hilton Court. Activities such as tai chi and yoga encourage movement and mindfulness, while our wider programme gives residents opportunities for enjoyment, routine and social connection. My priority is for residents to enjoy fulfilled lives during their time with us. We aim to bring fun and laughter as well as consistency and security, and to support each individual to work towards their own personal goals.
