Our roles
Care and Support Worker
If you have never worked in care before, this is where most of our people start. No previous experience is needed and we fund* your qualification.
The job
What the role involves.
- Supporting residents with personal care, mobility, eating and drinking
- Getting to know the person: their routines, history, likes and preferences
- Spending real time in conversation, company and activity
- Noticing changes and raising them with the nursing and senior team
- Keeping accurate, respectful records of the support you give
Who it suits
People who are patient, observant and genuinely warm. Care can be physically and emotionally demanding, and it asks for reliability above all - residents come to depend on the faces they know. Everything technical can be taught.
Where it leads
From here the route runs to Senior Care or Support Worker, then Senior Care Practitioner, and on into management.
