Care career pathway
Five steps, each one funded.*
Every step has a qualification attached and support to get there. You move when you are ready, not when a rota says so.

Care or Support Worker
SVQ Level 2, SCQF Level 6
Start here with no previous experience. We fund* the qualification and support your SSSC registration.

Senior Care or Support Worker
SVQ Level 3, SCQF Level 7, plus PDA in Supervision
Leading a shift and a team, with a dedicated development programme to prepare you first.

Senior Care Practitioner
SVQ Level 4, SCQF Level 9
Advanced practice and clinical responsibility, supported by our competency framework.

Deputy Manager
Second in command of a home, and the point at which Good to Great opens up.

Home Manager
SVQ Level 4 Leadership and Management, SCQF Level 10
Running a home, its team and its standards, with an Area Manager alongside you.
