Meallmore CEO Cillian Hennessey named on the HealthInvestor Power List 2025, recognising his leadership and Meallmore’s trusted care across Scotland.

Meallmore’s leading Carers and Nurses, guided by Meallmore’s vision and values, were honoured for their exceptional dedication at the 2022 Meallmore Staff Awards
The awards, now in their 11th year, returned to a live ceremony at the Dunblane Hydro. A total of 180 staff members from Meallmore’s care homes across Scotland gathered to celebrate the 2022 event. This special occasion marked a significant milestone for both the staff and the organisation, highlighting the importance of their dedication and hard work.
Hosted by singer and TV personality Michelle McManus, the awards honour Meallmore employees who have positively impacted the lives of residents, their families, and colleagues over the past year. The event also ensured that all staff had opportunities for recognition, fostering an inclusive and appreciative atmosphere.
This year featured twelve award categories, including Emerging Talent and Carer of the Year, along with a special Chairman’s Award. With 1,005 nominations - more than double the previous year’s—the awards reflect the commitment of Meallmore’s approximately 1,700 employees, all of whom were eligible for nomination. The awards celebrate care tailored to residents’ individual needs, emphasising person-centred approaches.
On presenting the awards, Michelle McManus said: “Congratulations to all the finalists and winners of the Meallmore Staff Awards 2022. I’m delighted to be involved once again - these awards are so important for recognising the exceptional dedication shown by individuals across Scotland. Thank you to the Meallmore team for inviting me back to be part of this year’s ceremony.”
Gerry Hennessey, Managing Director of Meallmore, commented: “These awards celebrate the incredible people within our care company who make a real difference in the lives of our residents nationwide. It fills me with pride to see such commitment from our team, and the winners are truly deserving.
“I want to thank staff from all 26 care homes who go above and beyond daily to provide the highest standards of care. Their efforts don’t go unnoticed, and I’m pleased we can honour them in this way. A special thanks to Michelle McManus for her continued support of our work.” Meallmore is proud to be a great place to work and grow, offering personal and professional development opportunities.
